Errol Schweizer was born and raised in the Bronx, New York and has a Biology degree from Binghamton University. He started in the food industry over twenty years ago and has experience in retail, food service, supply chain and manufacturing. He led the national grocery program at Whole Foods Market from 2009-2016, during the company’s most successful era. He was responsible for the financial performance and product assortment for over 80 product categories, and achieved a 300 basis point margin improvement with over a dozen consecutive quarters of double digit comps. His team helped many innovative companies become household names, including Suja, Califia, Justin’s, Annie’s, Epic, and Beyond Meat, and popularized food trends such as Non-GMO, Grass-fed, Biodynamic, and Fair Trade. In 2015 Errol was named one of the top 25 retail game changers in the food industry by Supermarket News. Errol is currently on the Board of Directors of Fairway Markets, Demeter USA and the Non GMO Project, a partner and co-founder of BeyondBrands and Good Catch, and an advisor to several companies in the natural/organic space.
