Ami Desai Mathur has over 16 years of experience in brand management, strategy, market research and sales across a range of large and small brands.  She is currently the General Manager for Honest Tea.

She began her career at Procter & Gamble (and stayed for 12 years!)  Her first role was on Global Olay, working to launch facial cleansers in the US, China and UK – helping Olay cross the $1 Billion threshold.  She then moved to San Francisco to work with Safeway leadership, helping them craft new category reinvention, overall shopper strategy and loyalty card marketing.  Following her customer role, she moved to Baltimore to become the Assistant Brand Manager for P&G cosmetics, with multiple roles across Max Factor and Cover Girl.  Her biggest accomplishments over the three years were helping grow the Max Factor brand despite significant distribution loss (with her team winning an Effie!), launching CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless foundation as well as leading ideation that crafted the long-term innovation pipeline for the total cosmetics franchise.  Following her ABM role, she was promoted to the Brand Manager on Personal Health Care and moved to Cincinnati, OH.  There, she was responsible for innovation across the healthcare brands (Pepto-Bismol, Metamucil & Align) and whitespace expansion into Russia, India, China & Brazil.  She led the consumer segmentation, brand equity and architecture development for the total Digestive Healthcare business.  In October of 2010, she moved to North America Oral Care  – leading the P&L, brand strategy, and full marketing responsibility for Crest Whitestrips, Oral-B Floss and Fixodent.

Following these 12 years at P&G, she was given an unique opportunity to move to Atlanta to work for Coca-Cola in their Venturing & Emerging Brands organization.  Since September of 2012, she has been working on Honest Tea – initially starting as a consultant to the founder to develop long-term strategy, and more recently, taking over the total brand and leading the entire organization within the Coca-Cola system.

Ami lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two beautiful, feisty children.  She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
